Randy Yeuell Owen was born at "Guest's Clinic in Fort Payne, Alabama" on December 13,1949. Randy stands 6 feet tall, weighs about 170 pounds. and has dark~brown hair and eyes. He is married and has three children. Randy and his two younger sisters were "raised in a frame farmhouse near Adamsburg, Alabama in DeKalb County, on Lookout Mountain." After graduating from Fort Payne High School, Randy attended Jacksonville State University. His favorite color is Red, because it's happy." He enjoys "Fanning, writing short stories, poetry, and sports of all kinds." "Vegetables, home-raised meats and home cooking" are his favorite foods. He enjoys music done by a variety of artists. Some of which are The Eagles, Anne Murray and Ronnie Milsap. Randy says he enjoys "being alone with immediate family, away from the telephone", when he is off. He strums a smooth and steady rhythm guitar, sings harmony and most of the solo parts on many of the group's hits. He has played music since the age of 6 and has been in the band for 28 years. Randy plays by ear and says that he doesn't know how many songs he has written but "some of them have been recorded on the albums." |
Mark Joel Herndon was born in Springfield, Massachusetts on May 11.1955. His father was a Marine pilot, so he and his parents traveled all over the country most of Mark's life. Finally they settled in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and that is where Mark calls home. Mark has blonde hair. blue eyes, stands 5' 10" tall is married and has one daughter. His favorite colors are red, blue and purple and he enjoys eating Japanese and Mexican food. In his spare time, Mark enjoys spending time with family and friends. Also, as a licensed pilot, Mark enjoys aviation as well as motorcycles and believe it or not, traveling. Mark's favorite artists are Bob Seeger, Journey, Jean-Luc Ponty, Tchaikovsky, Rush and Hank Williams, Jr. Mark plays a steady, up-tempo beat on the drums. Before joining ALABAMA in 1979, Mark played in circuit bands around Myrtle Beach. His favorite states are Maine, Florida, California and Colorado and his favorite city is Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Teddy Wayne Gentry was born in Fort Payne, Alabama on January 22,1952 and lived in the country on Lookout Mountain with his PawPaw in a wooden frame house. Teddy is 6'2" tall and weighs about 170 lbs. He has brown hair and green eyes. Teddy has been married for 24 years and has two children, one girl and one boy and two grandchildren, both girls. Teddy's favorite foods are home grown vegetables and Mexican food. His favorite colors are blue and purple. His hobbies are writing songs and fishing. Teddy enjoys listening to most music but, a few of his favorite artists are Anne Murray, Hank Williams, Jr., Eagles and Michael Martin Murphy. After graduating from High School and before and during his music career, he worked in many other jobs. "I ran a theatre, I laid carpet, I bagged groceries and I worked on a farm." |
Jeffrey Alan Cook was born in Fort Payne, Alabama on August 27, 1949. Jeff stands 5'9" tall, has brown hair and brown eyes. He is married and has one child. After graduation from High School, Jeff completed a course in electronic technology from Alabama State Technical College in Gadsden, Alabama. When asked if a country boy or city boy, Jeff replies, "I'm as city boy as you can get being from Fort Payne, Alabama." Jeff and his younger brother were raised in the city of Fort Payne, at the foot of Lookout Mountain. Jeff enjoys Japanese food, country cooking, The Beatles, The Eagles and all the 60's and 70's rock he played when he was a disc jockey. Jeff "likes the color red because it is exciting, green and blue because they're soothing." In his time off the road, Jeff enjoys coming home to Fort Payne, working on electronic projects, bass fishing, camping, watching TV and working in his recording studio, Cook Sound Studio. |
